Massed produced junkNov 13, 2010
By Rick and Nyla R. Gallant This is not a actual Nepalese Gurkha knife. It is again as noted before a massed produced low quality knife. Amazon again should know better than to sell this thing. In My opinion, Amazon's quality control is becoming less reliable than it used to be.

You get what you pay forNov 30, 2009

This thing is pretty damn cool. It isn't the sharpest thing in the world, but it definitely held up to it's name and came with a waist sheath. My only real complaint is that the handle isn't made from wood. And while it would make sense if is was more than $11 or so for the handle to be wood, it's made out of something that seems like stylized plastic. I didn't really spend much time playing with it before I gave it to it's intended person, but if you are looking around for a Kukri, and don't want to pay allot, and still have something really cool, this is your item.

KukriJul 07, 2009
By Mohamed Mohamed This is a very pretty knife to behold, but I cannot imagine it holding up to hard use. The blade is very thin and light, and I can somewhat bend it slightly in my hands, although I am not very strong. It might suffice for very light work, but would probably work best as a display piece, as it is very nice to look at.

This is an amazing product for the price. Holds an edge and does it while being a beautiful addition to any knife collection.

Good Product, Good PriceJan 12, 2009
By jw This Nepalese Gurkhas Kukri (knife) is well made and it is sharp. I tested it on a few pieces of paper. I have no intention of actually using this knife to cut anything. However, I loved the sharp edge as compared to some other Kukri knives that are more ornamental and does not have an edge. The knife feels great in the hand. It is well balanced and moves easily, espcially when changing directions of cut or stab. Again I have no intention of actually using this knife but it is good to know how easy it is to handle. It does not strain the wrist or arm if one does use this knife. The sheath is decorated slightly and is a bit oversized. I guess the larger sheath makes it easier to get the knife in and out of the sheath but I am not sure if that is the reason. Personally I would prefer a plain sheath similiar to the one used by the Gurkha officers, plain and perfect fit. Overall this is an excellent purchase.
