felt for playing surfaceJul 10, 2010
By R. Sherman
"badgn"
I bought this felt to cover a plywood board for a poker playing surface. It plays nice. The silk screen does not have precision symetry so when I placed it over the wood surface for bonding I needed to cut the board shorte than I intended. I think the dimensions are ball park, not exact.
Felt is good, layout and screen printing are badOct 28, 2011
By Christopher D. Totten I purchased this felt for a homemade blackjack table I was working on. The dimensions were correct, I prefer blue over green, and the layout seemed nice enough. The quality of the felt is good, a little heavy, but good. The problem lies with 2 areas:
1. Layout - The layout is crammed in to a small space and the Insurance line is too close to the edge of the layout. Once you add a chip tray to your table, you will effectively have no space between the tray and the insurance line.
2. Screen Printing - The blackjack, dealer stands... etc are fine. They are lightly printed on the felt, so that cards will slide over them without a problem. The issue is in the insurance line and betting boxes. The screen print is heavy and sticks up from the table. Cards will "catch" on the screen printing instead of gliding across them. As a result you will bend your cards and put marks on them rather quickly. As a dealer, it is also more difficult to deal with this.
Overall, for the money the layout is fine. It is not casino quality by any means, so don't expect it. If you want a more professional layout, you can purchase those on other sites (expect $50-$90 for the layout, with customization available as well.
