I thought this was a hard top, but when it arrived I realized it was soft, more like a cloth. That being said, it does a decent job of making a hard table top seem like a regular card playing table. one complaint i have is that the green felt material sheds a little and gets on your clothes.

I bought this poker green playing felt very excited and expecting that it will feel at least like the soft texture of poker tables.
Unfortunately, it didn't even come close. The felt has a many mini "gaps," when it should feel more like a grainy silk. I mean, I wasn't going to get much out of about $10, but I expected at least the "feel."
I didn't get that feel once it arrived, and it feels more like a towel or fabric I could have paid for at Walmart. I could have just bought some fabric and used some personal time myself to construct the felt.
Recommendation: This is the super super lazy and poor man's poker felt. I would just go ahead and pay $5-15 more for a poker felt with the basic outlining of a poker table instead.

I like to have the occasional poker night with friends, but not enough to invest in a full table-top. This playing felt is perfect to lay down over any table. I used to lay down a towel over our playing surface to prevent sliding chips and cards and also to protect my wooden table. This looks much nicer! I store it rolled up instead of folded because the creases are hard to flatten out.
